Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats

Hi there! I wanted to do a quick post to share a delicious treat with you guys. I love Rice Krispie Treats to begin with, I think they're so addicting..and with the addition of cake mix to give them that amazing cake batter flavor just takes them over the top! These would be such a great treat to make for your kids for Easter this year, give them a try!

Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine (I always use margarine in mine, as I think butter makes them way too rich)
1 10 oz. Package of Regular Marshmallows or 4 Cups Miniature Marshmallows
6 Cup Rice Krispies
1/3 Cup White Cake Mix
1/3 Cup Rainbow Sprinkles

Directions:
Melt butter or margarine in a large sauce pan, add marshmallows and constantly stir until they are melted, then add in your cake mix and stir until it is dissolved in the marshmallows. Add your Rice Krispies and your sprinkles and mix until all of the cereal is evenly coated in marshmallow. Transfer mixture into a greased casserole dish and let cool before cutting.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola Bars

Good afternoon everyone! It's been awhile since I last posted, huh? I guess life just gets a little busier for us when Spring arrives, but I'm back with a delicious and easy recipe to share with you. I've always loved granola bars, of any variety..so to be able to make my own was awesome! These would be so fun to change up the things you put in them each time you make them. I'm thinking mini m&m's next time..yum! I was out of rice krispies when I made these, but I would definitely recommend putting them in there for their great texture. Also, you can use just honey or just maple syrup, but I like the combination of the two, and if you're worried that your granola bars will taste like maple, I found that they don't at all. These are so great and versatile, go bake up a batch today!

Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 Cup Dry Roasted Peanuts
1/4 Cup Honey
1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
1 Cup Chunky Peanut Butter
1 Cup Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup Shredded Coconut
1/2 Cup Rice Krispies
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the honey, maple syrup, peanut butter and vanilla. Stir in the oats and make sure they are completely coated, then add in the peanuts, coconut, rice krispies, and chocolate chips and mix. Make sure everything is coated evenly. Pour the mixture into a 8x8 baking dish (feel free to line it with foil or parchment paper, I didn't do this and mine came out fine) and press into the dish tightly and evenly. Bake for 25 minutes in a pre-heated 325 degree oven, and then let completely cool in the pan before inverting and cutting into bars.
