{COPYCAT} Mrs. Fields Snickerdoodle Cookies

Good morning! I've been taking a little break from blogging for the Summer but I'm so happy to be back! I have missed you all! I couldn't think of a better post to come back with than this one. These cooking are AMAZING. I will warn you though, if you take a taste of the dough it is so delicious you will have to stop yourself from eating it all, ha! These are so easy, you must make them ASAP! Enjoy :)

Ingredients:
1 Stick Salted Butter, softened
1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar

Topping:
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

Directions:
In a small bowl, evenly mix together the topping for the cookies; set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or regular mixing bowl and spoon) cream the butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.

Add your egg and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.

In a small bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar.

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well.

Wrap dough in wax paper or plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees.

Using your hands or a cookie scoop, gather about 2 1/2 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a ball using the palms of your hands, and then roll it in the topping mixture. Place on cookie sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass or gently with your hand. Repeat until cookie sheet is full.

Bake 14-16 minutes or until barely golden around the edges. Remove cookies to a cooling rack.

Makes about 15 cookies.
