Candy Cane Blossoms

Happy Tuesday! Today marks the start of 'Cookie Week' on my blog! Over the course of the next 5 days I will be posting a new recipe to hopefully help give you some holiday baking inspiration! First up are these super easy, super yummy and SUPER festive Candy Cane Blossoms - I absolutely LOVE the look and flavor of these!

Ingredients:
48 Candy Cane Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Tablespoons Milk
1 Stick Butter, softened
1 Egg
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
Red Sugar Crystals, Green Sugar Crystals and Christmas nonpareils

Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl or mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar and vanilla until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl and then add alternately with the milk to the butter mixture, beating until well blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll into the different coatings. Place on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and the cookies are set. Let cool 2-3 minutes and then press 1 Hershey's Kiss in the center of each cookie. (I accidentally added mine right when they came out of the oven, so mine didn't hold their shape as well)
