Crockpot Meatballs & Gravy

Okay so, it's really difficult to get a good picture of a dish like this. I find it especially hard with it's something that was made in the crock pot, and let's be honest..all of these kinds of dishes are usually the ones that are the most delicious - and this one, my friends, is no exception! We really liked these, and they were so simple. You can serve them with mashed potatoes, egg noodles, rice, etc. You can even just throw them together for a get together where you will have several snacks & appetizers (hello football season that's about to start soon? Yes!), just stick some toothpicks next to them and you're good to go and everyone will love them. I just love easy dinners once in a while :) Enjoy guys!

Ingredients:
1 3/4 lb Bag Frozen Original (not Italian style) Meatballs
2 10 1/2 oz Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 oz Package Brown Gravy Mix
1 Beef Bullion Cube
1 Cup Water

Directions:
Place the frozen meatballs into the crockpot.

In a medium bowl, mix together the soup, gravy packet, bullion cube and water.

Pour soup mixture over the meatballs and give it a good mix so all of the meatballs are coated.

Place the lid on the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours or cook on high for 4 hours.

  1. I'm curious if you actually notice a difference with putting this in a crockpot for so many hours vs just doing it in the 20 minutes or so it would probably take to do on stove top? I only ask because I tend to use my crockpot for dishes that need a long time to cook (like roasts and whatnot) and am curious if the meatballs end up soaking up the gravy flavor more if they stay heated for that much longer.

    1. I totally get what you're saying, sometimes I'm just like why not just cook it in a big pot on the stove? But I definitely think it makes a difference in this case. The meatballs soaked up more flavor, and the gravy also had more flavor that came out through the meatballs. Sorry this comment is so delayed, I must have missed it!
