{COPYCAT} Arby's Kings Hawaiian Roast Beef & Swiss Sandwiches

My husband and I recently stopped by Arby's to get some lunch one day, and he doesn't usually stray from the Arby melts or beef n' cheddar's, but he saw this new King's Hawaiian Roast Beef & Swiss sandwich and decided to give it a try. Well, he loved it, so of course I had to try and replicate it at home. Verdict? Success! They were great.

We didn't put any creamy dijon sauce that comes on the original because neither one of us are into that, but if you are, I would definitely do it to get as close to the original as possible. Also, the only thing I would change next time is to get the meat sliced on the deli's thinnest setting, we got it shaved this time and I just think it would be easier and closer to Arby's meat if it were just very thin instead.

I served these with Arby's curly fries that are available at our local Wal-Mart. I'm not sure if they are in Wal-Mart's across the country, but definitely look for them if you can! I hope you make these and enjoy them as much as we did!

Ingredients:
1 lb. Roast Beef, sliced thin (we got ours from the deli counter)
1 Package King's Hawaiian Sandwich Buns (4 buns per pack)
4 Slices Swiss Cheese (we used 8 pieces, 2 on each sandwich..I would recommend this!)
Dill Pickle Slices, 3 per sandwich
Softened Butter, to toast buns
Creamy Dijon, if desired
Wax Paper, to wrap sandwiches, if desired

Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

Line a baking sheet with foil and spread the roast beef out in a even layer, then top with another piece of foil and seal all around the edges. Using a sharp knife, make little slits in the foil to allow steam to escape. Place in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the meat is completely heated through and steaming hot.

Butter the buns and toast just until golden in a skillet.

Divide the roast beef into 4 portions.

Assemble the sandwiches like so: 3 pickles on the bottom bun, place the roast beef on top of that, then add your cheese and wrap in a piece of wax paper. Serve immediately.

Makes 4 sandwiches.

  1. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to give this recipe a shot. Also, we can get Arby's fries in our local Meijers here in the Dayton area.
