M&M Cookies

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Stick Butter, cold
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt

Directions:
Cut butter up into small cubes and place in a large mixing bowl. Add both sugars and mix until combined. Add egg and vanilla, mix well. Add baking soda and salt, mix well. Gradually add flour. Depending on how big you want your cookies, take as much dough as you want and roll it into a ball, place it on a ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Add m&m's on top, slightly pressing them down into the dough. Place your oven rack in the top 1/3 of your oven. Bake in a pre-heated 300 degree oven for 10-2 minutes or until edges start to brown slightly.

  1. Gosh, I haven't had an M&M cookie in ages! I like the tip of adding the candies after the dough is on the sheet! It makes for a much nicer presentation. The next time I see the grands, these will be coming with me. I know they'd love them!

  2. Hi Kaitlin,
I love these! So cute and pretty, not to mention yummy.
When I make these so they are thick I like to mix the M&Ms in AND place them on top, because the top ones are neat and pretty, but it's always fun to discover an extra bit of chocolate that you didn't know was there in the middle of a cookie! :)
