Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hi there :) I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. It's been snowing here in Texas all day, can you believe it?! I love looking outside, it's so pretty! I would say right now we have about 3 1/2 - 4 inches and light flurries are still falling. I'm so glad we went grocery shopping yesterday, because I would not have wanted to trek out in that snow! Instead we relaxed all day, and I baked up these scrumptious cookies. These are a unique and fun twist on your classic chocolate chip cookie..a must try! I also had to show off my massive bag of chocolate chips that I got at Sam's Club..too cool, and a must have for anyone who bakes a lot!

Ingredients:
2 Sticks Butter, softened
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
3/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
12 Oreo's, broken up (I used Double Stuf)

Directions:
In a mixer, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla until combined. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to wet mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and oreo pieces. Using a cookie scoop, place scoops of dough onto a ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 9-11 minutes or until edges start to turn golden brown. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool.
